Nancie Schipper
In July 2017, Nancie Schipper released her first song in nearly two years, after working with ARIA award winner producer Matt Fell. The result was Corner Store, the first single from her new album Sleeptalking, which was quick to attract attention from triple j & unearthed. She received stellar reviews from presenters, who dubbed her sound as ‘irresistibly catchy pop music’, and was chosen as a triple j Unearthed feature artist.
The 18 year old is no newcomer to the stage, having spent the last six years tirelessly working her way around the local scene. The hard work is paying off for Schipper, who was included in the 2017 Port Fairy Folk Festival line up, and has supported the likes of Little Georgia, Joe Mungovan and Riley Pearce. She was the triple j Unearthed competition winner for ‘Live at the Steps’, which saw her open for Tired Lion, Ruby Fields and Jack River to a crowd of thousands.
